Share your Bedroom with your Baby!
Babies love to be close to their loved ones!!
And their loved one love to be close to the babies too!!
Sharing your room can significantly reduce the risk of preventable infant death.
Did you know it is just as safe to have a baby sleep in a pack & play, bassinet or a crib? Baby in your room, in their own sleep space, helps parents and baby sleep more peacefully.
Placing your baby’s crib, bassinet, portable crib, or separate sleep space in your bedroom, close to your bed can decreases the risk of SIDS by as much as 50% and is much safer than bed sharing. In addition, room sharing will make it easier for you to feed, comfort, and watch your baby.
Remember, babies are smart and instinctual. They will smell you close by the same as you would a candle in your room!
It may be tempting to nurse in bed or co-sleep, but unfortunately there are over 1,000 babies a year who die in co-sleeping situations. And we want all babies to be safe!
You can keep your baby close to you!! And baby wear them during the day!
But when you are sleeping, they sleep in their own space. And so do you. Both of you will have much better sleep. And be safe.
